Key Bindings - again!
This can't be this difficult, can it? I want to assign the Key Binding: L = Groove Clip Looping. If I go to the midi track right click menu, I see that it has a Key Binding via Ctrl+L First off, I spend time trying to find "Groove-Clip Looping" in the Preferences/Key Bindings functions window (if is there, I missed it). There is no Search function here - my last complaint post! I then use the "Locate Key..." and use Ctrl+L, thinking I can unbind/add "L" - guess what? No binding shows up for Ctrl+L! Is it really this difficult to Key Bind?

I agree there needs to be a search function. I also just looked to see if I could find groove clip looping and I didn't see it either. Very strange I see things that are so obscure I wonder why anyone would want to make a key binding for and then things like groove clip looping and bounce to clip are nowhere to be found. Very strange indeed. Keybindings def need some work.......

Is it really this difficult to Key Bind? L is already assigned to Loop On/Off. It is bold, so i don't know if you can unbind it. Brian

Brian sorry to ask this but can you be more specific In the Preferences/Key Bindings, I tried the "first key search" using "G" - couldn't find it in the Bind Context:"Track View" nor in "Global Bindings" I also tried a visual scan (i.e. me doing all the frickin' work!) and couldn't find it. ...and again, unbelievable!

Actually, I checked "L" and saw it was bound (which covered your original notion to bind Groove Clip Looping, then I checked Cntrl+L to see if it was bound there. I did not search. Bounce to clips I found by looking through the list of available commands. My experience has been that Help is a better place to look for bound commands then through the interface. Brian

gwp99 Stone House Studios Groove clip looping toggle is a global assignment. Brian so you didn't find Groove clip looping but Bounce to clips instead? I found both. Toggle Groove Clip Looping is bound to Ctrl+L. Groove clip looping is unassigned. Edit: I could not find Groove Clip Looping in the list of commands if that is your question.

I understand. Hopefully with the new emphasis on Keystrokes there will be some "friendly" improvements to the binding procedure! Brian
