Cannot move track folder

Hi, I have tested that I can move track folders in simple projects, containing 3-4 tracks. So far, so good.  However, in another project I have put 11 tracks in one folder, and have 3 tracks above and 2 below the newly created track folder.
 
No matter how much I try, I cannot move the newly created track folder on top of all tracks. I cannot move the other tracks either. Additionally, the track folder sometimes behave strange, it disappears, showing just one of the tracks inside the folder.. weird.
 
What is happening here?
I have restarted Sonar X1 several times, the same happens. And as I said, small uncomplicated projects are fine.

    Not sure. I'm running win7 64bit w/ sonar x1b + 255 patch and I have no problem dragging track folders with 10+ tracks:

    Doesn't help you, but at least it shows it's not a universal issue. You might need to contact CW support.

    I found the culprit, not the cause.
    Inside the track folder, I have two tracks, the second cloned from the first. I am rather unfamiliar with this part of Sonar, so I was surprised to see that when adjusting the volume for track A, the volume on track B follows. Is this normal?
    Anyhow, here is the behaviour:
    I can drag and drop Track A outside the newly created folder, but not track B!!!
    Having moved Track A on the outside, I now can move the folder where I want. I can then, having repositioned the folder, drag and drop Track B inside the folder again.
    Something is weird. It is 100% reproducible.
    If I reload the project from scratch, with both Track A and B inside the folder,  then try to move the folder, suddenly I see only Track B (no folder, the other tracks are lost) and the tracks panel is "frozen", I then close the project without saving, to avoid damage.
    I will not clone any track anymore, that's for sure.

    I inserted a new track (Track C), moving the clips from Track B over to this one, and using the same synth as the "mother" track. Then I deleted the cloned MIDI track, Track B. Now all is good, I can move the track folder around just fine.

    Yeah, I was going to say it sounds like something was bugged with that track. Normally a track will NOT follow another tracks volume unless they have grouped volumes (right click and add to the same color group)

    Glad you got it figured out. Was this project started in X1 or an earlier version? I've seen some posts where it seems that upgraded projects are more prone to issues, but nothing concrete.

    Was this project started in X1 or an earlier version?

     
    It is a new project. In fact, after I built myself a new multi medi a PC, I have only Sonar X1 on this machine, and only X1 created projects.
    And by the way, I must accidentally have grouped the tracks, since the volume on one follows the volume on the other. Now I learnt this ;-)
