Wrong file responds when two open

Sonar 8.5.2

I have two files open and I double-click a MIDI clip in File 1 to open the Staff View (I have mine set that way).

Instead of opening the Staff View in File 1, it opens the Staff View in File 2, the file in the background. 

This can't be normal? It would mean you can't work on two files by switching between them...

Anyone else experienced this?

    I don't know what to tell you. I just tried it on my 8.5.3.282 PE and it works just as it should (i.e., opens clip of same file in Piano Roll - default - or whatever I have it set for).
