Garritan Glitching on Mixdown

I hope someone can help with this:

I have searched this forum to find whether it's already been addressed. I'm copying it here [from Producer and Studio] because I want to subscribe.

I have Garritan Personal Orchestra.

I have recently also bought sonar X1 studio.

My computer is running Windows XP SP3.  It has an Intel Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz.  It says it has 2.75GB of ram.

I've been writing some music for an animation.  I have only used 4 patches in the GPO - the rest is covered by Sonar's own SI-strings (2 instances) plus Applied Acoustic Sytems' Tassman (1 instance).

I think this is quite modest.

When I use the mixdown function and play back the file I get audible glitches but only in one channel.  When I remove the GPO the glitching no longer occurs.

Do you have any idea why this might be happening? Can you offer any advice?

I have a deadline (end of this month) and also other commitments, including a "day job".

any help gratefully recieved, Paul.

shouldn't get glitching in mixdown - did you do a "real-time" mixdown? try doing an "offline" mixdown...

You could also try bounce to track for only the Garritan stuff then combine the audio track.
Generally if I have  any problems bouncing (fast bounce) they disappear when I use the bounce while playing mode (not at computer so don't remember what that's actually called)

Sorry but what is meant by real time and offline?

    I used Fille | Export | Wav

The file that was output had glitches. I also tried "freezing" Garritan.  This froze the synth output complete with the glitches.

I have been emailing Garritan support and they suggested increasing the DMA buffer size.  This didn't work either.

Something which does work is to create 4 instances of Dimension LE (or as many as you have parts) and then use Garritan Pocket Orchestra which of course means compromising on patch choice: it has only one keyboard the harpsicord - not really right for a piano part but I may have to settle for it.

in the WAV export box, the last 4 checkbox options effect how the export is processed, "audible bounce" and "live input" being the "realtime" options; unchecking "fast bounce" helps with some VSTs

Which version of GPO are you using, Kontakt or ARIA?

The older Kontakt version should have fast bounce unchecked.  Fast bounce should work fine with the ARIA version.

    Thanks everyone.

I've settled this for the moment by using instances of Dimension LE (with Pocket ocrchestra patches) plus Garritan with just the piano.
