(Morse and) Feshbach Publishing

Hi all,

Because there are science/engineering folks here:

Feshbach Publishing has reduced their price for the well-known set of books "Methods of Theoretical Physics" from $329 to $249 for complete the two-volume set.  If you're familiar with these books and their prices, you'll know that this is a good deal.

http://www.feshbachpublishing.com/

The set offered by Feshbach Publishing is a relatively recent reprint, very nicely done, by the late Mark Feshbach, son of one of the authors, Herman Feshbach.  I myself have wanted a set for many years, so gladly picked one up when I heard about this price reduction.  I have no affiliation with Feshbach Publishing, but am a big fan of the subject, having taken several formal courses (not just physics but specifically "mathematical physics" including standard Arfken-based ones).  It's still the best single reference IMO: the clearest, most comprehensive, and most "fun" to read.

Regards,
Dave Clark

PS: If you do order a set, please say in the comments something like: "Hi Andrea --- DaveClark sent me here.  (He asked me to say that.)  Smiley face, Smiley face, Smiley face...."  I have already sent a couple of my friends/colleagues there who ordered sets, so she'll get a kick out of it.  Thanks!

NOW, if they had dropped the price of Practical Applications of Quantum Mechanics , I would be all over that.

Well, you can either know the price or whether the book is in stock, but not both...

Thanks for pointing that out Craig, I admit I was experiencing some uncertainty on the matter

Well, I was thinking more that it resembles a one-sided nonorientable surface

    or to put it simply

A Möbius strip of half-width with midcircle of radius and at height can be represented parametrically by
    (1)
    (2)
    (3)
for and . In this parametrization, the Möbius strip is therefore a cubic surface with equation
