Edirol Orchestral

I was watching an instructional video about X1 Producer, and the guy was demonstrating Soft Synth and the programs in it.   He used Edirol Orchestral, implying it comes with X1 Producer.   Mine doesn't have it.
Is it supposed to come with X1 Producer?

The guy in the video made it sound like it comes with X1, but perhaps he bought it and installed it.

    Thanks, Jeff!

I use it quite a lot.
It isnt bad - used it on a project which needed a marching band.
    Good result.
    Bit old fashioned interface though.

The Edirol Orchestral synth has been discontinued for many years. Indeed, it does not come with any version of SONAR.

I have used Edirol Orchestral extensively. Now I use the Garritan Personal Orchestra 4 that I got at the Cakewalk store.

Edirol Orchestral is a product made by and discontinued by Edirol. If it is being downloaded via XYZ or anywhere else for free, it is a case of software piracy. Edirol never released this product for free.

A version of Garritan is included in Dimension Pro which in turn is included with Producer.  Depending on your style, you may like it.

Agreed. The quality and versatility of soft synths nowadays far outshines hardware synths, IMHO. And the processing power/ value you can get out of an i3/ i5/ i7 system nowadays is ridiculous.

Copy that. I didn't think there was mal-intent by anyone in this thread concerning that topic. I just wanted to make it clear what's OK and what's not.

It's a shame they're discontinued. They are excellent.

My apologies. In my haste to help someone find what is in my opinion a great plugin, I gave some bad advice. I would like to say that the Garritan GPO4 offer in the Cake store really is the best deal you will ever take advantage of. I have it and I can't say enough good about it. At $79, you will regret missing that oppurtunity! Maybe Edirol will consider re-releasing an updated Orchestral. It was a great little plug.

In the video I had mentioned, Edirol Orchestral sounded good to me.   :)
But I'll check out the Garritan.

    Thanks!!

btw, this is the video I saw where he used Edirol with X1 Producer.   It's around 7:23
