Every time I press record my midi instruments can no longer be heard ............help!

Ok,

I am running Sonar 7 along side Kompact. Basically I have load 16  midi instruments from the one one soft synth. On my keyboard I can increment the midi channels and hear each instrument. However when I press record on one of those instruments the whole lot goes dead. It seems that Kontact has lost communications with Sonar7. I have verified this with VB3 and the same thing happens. Any ideas would be good.

Thanks

Try enabling Input Echo on the Midi track you're recording on if you haven't already.

IIRC you have to have the synth selected or the synth track selected and not other tracks.
