clone track adds new track to entirely different folder????

I am trying to clone my drum track so I can split the midi data into individual sounds(instruments) using clone track then delet what I don't want for that track. However, everytime I clone the track it adds it to another folder down the list and won't let me remove it from that folder to put in the proper one.

    Never mind. My dumb ass didn't set the start from track option properly. duh?

    Im new with CAKEWALK? where can i find for the installer?
    i Want to learn about sequencer.. and i want to use  CAKEWALK..
    please help me

    Start your own thresd in the correct forum to get a suitable answer.

    I'll bite and tell you this - the installer is either on disc one which you put in your dvd drive and let Autorun do its thing, or if it was the download which you paid for, you simply run the .exe

    BTW, Mr. Producer to be -
    There is a CAL (Cakewalk Application Language) script called "Split to tracks" (or close to that) that will do this automatically for you.  Vey handy for drum tracks.
