OT: Lost ALL of my subscriptions and notification preferences
Hi- Sorry for the OT. I wasn't getting email notifications so I just checked my UCP. The settings had changed to not subscribe when I post to a thread and never get email notifications. Needless to say, this was not my doing. When I checked my thread subscription list it was empty. I never removed any, and I've been on here since 2003. I've had times when notifications were suspended temporarily, but never lost *all* my subscriptions before. The emails just kicked back in after a bit. Anyone else? Thanks- -Susan

Looks like it's just me (so far, anyway). Bummer. I had hundreds if not thousands of subscribed threads in there, and I got PM'ed just a week or so ago about a couple of old ones. Oh well. I'm surprised if it really was just my account that got dumped, but so be it. -Susan

DJSur Ugh, but hey, fresh starts come in all colors :) True! Out of curiosity I tried changing my settings to not subscribe to threads I post in to see if that wiped out existing subscriptions, but it didn't. I certainly didn't delete them all manually; in fact, I don't remember having deleted more than a few over all these years. Maybe they clean the slate if you reach a certain number? It still seems strange that I'm the only one, but hey, I'll live! Thanks- -Susan

I don't think you are the only one. I subscribed to a couple of important threads and never received any notification of new posts. When I checked, there were no subscribed threads listed. I had assumed (as with all things X1) that I'd made a mistake. Now I'm not so sure. But this happened to me over a month ago, so I don't know if it relates to your issue or not.

We've been having problems where users would subscribe to threads and then mark the resulting email as spam or junk. The ESP in turn then marks @cakewalk as spam and sends us an 'abuse notification' email. This is affecting deliverability of outbound Customer Service, Tech Support and Registration emails to specific ESP's. So - if you ever marked a forum email from us as spam, moved it to your junk folder or otherwise made an action that results in us getting an abuse notification from your ESP, you will be automatically unsubscribed and all of your subscriptions removed. This is an automatic process. If the above doesn't sound like the case, send me a PM with your email address and we can look into it.
