Playback / Stop / Pause Delay - Now Time doenst move

Hi,

Having some difficulties with X1 -- when making any kind of selection whether it be play, stop, pause, record enable/disable - via a keyboard shortcut or with the mouse - im getting at least a 2 second delay.  This happens with a fresh new X1 file with 0-1 tracks recorded.

also, the now time is not moving along with the recording, it just stops, sometimes skips over 30 seconds to catch up.  i am not showing the waveforms when recording (although i would love to).

could this be a video card and/or processor issue? 

current configuration:
6800 with 256mb ram, dual display
dual core pentium D
6GB ram
win 7
(2) m-audio 1010lt
UAudio-1 pci card

i know my processor is a bit old, but with a fresh file i should be able to hit record - in the past i could run 16-20 tracks with alot of plugins using 2MB ram before i started seeing serious processor issues.
