It's good that you're studying ways in which to identify and track highly effective people.  Perhaps you can flush them out and point them out to Karyn.

Thanks for taking care of this for us!

In the book does he compare the habits of highly effective people to ineffective people? Or implicitly or explicitly criticize ineffective people?

Maybe you should see an oncologist.

A highly effective one, or just an average, lazy, and somewhat useless one?

I read those 5 things and thought pfft, where does this guy get off and I'm like I'm already in front of him.

Here's the only habits you need to be a success.  A) Write a self-help book claiming to have the answers, B) sell it to a million gullible suckers.

Does it come with a fish scaler?  I don't know why, but all of the other products I buy on these shopping networks and interteletubbienet things in my computer machine come with a fish scaler.  I don't have a use for one and I wouldn't know why I'd want to weigh a fish in the first place.  Oh.  Overnight shipping.  I'll need that, too.  I'm not sure why, but I always choose overnight shipping.  I think that's so the trucks run at night when no one else is on the road.  That's important, especially if you're trying to cross a road.  Half the time, I don't make it all the way across on the first try.  It's like the game, Frogger.  I almost beat level 1 once.  I lost my concentration before reaching the other side.  I don't even know why I was trying to get to that side.  What made it so much better?  Was it really worth all of the hassle?  I don't like being hasseled.  They're always doing that at work.  Hasselling me.  "When will this be done?"  "What are you doing?"  "Have you completely lost your mind?"  I don't know what they're talking about.  People keep wanting things to be completed and/or finished.  I tell them I'm more of a "big picture" thinker.  Unfortunately, I usually deliver that line after they've walked away, but that's beside the point.

Come to think of it, I don't think I need a book to teach me how to be more effective.  I think I do that quite

I believe every word of this... I feel that you can not rise to a full and complete level of incompetence unless you successfully rid your self of any and all vestige of critical or comparative thinking.

Hmmm, I wonder if he's talking about:

    The Twilight Zone?
    The end zone?
    The ozone?
    The "No Parking Zone"

I'm assuming we're talking about financial success? I know several millionaires (one being my own brother) and they all have one thing in common ... they care about nobody but themselves. I've never met anyone who was 'successful' in a career or business who cared about the people they work with or who work for them.

I'm sure they're out there ... but as of yet I haven't met one.

That being said, I excel at the first two items on your list. :)
