modify "My Document\Cakewalk" path
Hi all, I have installed Cakewalk LE. A directory called "Cakewalk\SONAR 8.5 LE" has been created in "My Document" directory. If I delete the directory, it is created again at next start up of SONAR. Is it possible to change this path ? Thanks !

I suppose it is possible, but why? That's where SONAR is going to look for the info it needs and changing the path could mess things up. You would have to change the path under 'Options>Global>Folders', I think. But I wonder why you want to change it...

well it is just a preference I usually put my project files in "My Documents" and I leave the program files in "c:\Program Files" but I agree it is a minor point

The program files are in c:\Program Files. The directory you see being created in My Documents is for data of some kind. What do you see in the folder(s)? Check your Global settings in Cakewalk. What version of Cakewalk LE are you using?

If you've got all your project data going into "My Documents", it will only be a matter of weeks/months before your hard drive is full. Do yourself a favour and invest in another internal drive. Move all your project data onto the new drive Let Sonar know where all your projects are now located.

thanks for your answers yes you are right, I should use another hard drive as I use a laptop I'll try to partition my hard drive, it should help I use SONAR LE 8.5 as you said, I have found the directory settings in global settings but several directories have to be changed that is strange because even after having changed all the directories an empty Cakewalk directory is still created ... well, never mind, I set it as hidden idem for Project directory, a "c:\Cakewalk Projects" is created even if the workspace directory is set elsewhere
