Does anyone get open string over tones?

Does anyone get open string over tones?

I'm still using GTP3-I'm sure it's the old LP!! But even when doing a power chord  (no 3rd) whole note it "wobbles". If I compress the life out of it would that stop the wibbly wobblies!!??  i'm going to try new saddles-these are OLD!!


I got REAL tired of having nothing new-so crank something OLD!!

    Hi Ace.
    To me, the wobbles suggest a tuning/ intonation problem.
    When's the last time the old girl was in for a checkup?
    I think you're on the right track with new saddles.
    Maybe even a fresh setup.

    Well to be fair-I just changed strings-maybe I need to stretch them a few more hours!! She is WAY WAY over due I'm sure!! I've been an Eb tuner for YEARS-Thinking of trying E with a new set up. It drives me crazy-if I hear it-I KNOW everyone else will!!
