Feature request sent...........

A warning when saving MIDI files.
Some sort of warning when saving a MIDI file with incompatible data in it. For example if I add a softsynth to a MIDI file and then save it I would like Sonar to warn me that unless I save it as a cwp file I will lose that information.

Auto changing the file type to cwp isn't a great idea, it's a very bad idea - that's what I'm talking about.

Once you are using SOFTSYNTH or AUDIO...forget about SMF, or MIDI file...thats what hes talking about!

Yes I've got that bit, you save it as a cwp file. Some sort of warning if you are about to save a MIDI file with changes that aren't compatible is a great idea. I thought it already did but it doesn't. Perhaps it's a bug in X1.

Note that other sequencer just import MIDI data so they save as default their native format, you have to export or ¨save as¨ for Standard MIDI file.
Auto-changing  file format?, well I don't care as long all my data is there, but , in the case that its you the one that put some audio or softsynth(no Sonar, you)... in this case is logic, but OK, we agree that ¨some sort of warning¨ is the best alternative for both of us.

So you have put in a feature request too then?
