.ins files for Sonar X1

I am in desperate need of some help.  In the MIDI section of the Preferences window, when I go to the place to assign instrument definitions, I pulled up the help window and it stated that SONAR comes with many .ins files.  However, I was unable to locate any other than the 'general midi' and few others that are listed in that immediate section.  I was also unable to find any instrument definitions on the cakewalk.com site as was indicated in the help section.  So I am at a loss.  The three midi instruments I use and would like definitions for are: 1) Yamaha Motif-Rack ES, 2) Roland JX-305 3) Korg Triton-LE88.  I found a yamaha motif rack instrument definition list on motifator.com but it does not save as a .ins file, but as a .txt file instead and therefore SONAR won't recognize it.  Does anyone know where I could find these files?
Many thanks,
-Eddy

An .ins file is a text file. Open it in Notepad and verify that it really is an instrument definition file, and if it is just rename the file extension from .txt to .ins and copy into the folder where your other .ins files are.

I found this for the Roland synth by googling "Roland JX-305 instrument definition":  http://jx305.chez.com/files/roland_ins_jx-305.zip

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

I tried to change the file extension and was unable.  I also was unable to find the folder with .ins files.

So I gather you found where to put the files?
