ACT is far too complicated for nothing

I've tried by two occasions to setup my Axiom 25 as a ACT controler and both times I ended up frustrated and lost hours. Every ACT video produced by Cakewalk has Cakewalk brand controler already setup. Thing is I DON'T have a Cakewalk brand midi controler and I don't want to buy one, cause I allready have one. I think this is a stupid move by Cakewalk to try to enforce the Cakewalk controler on there users. I just looked at the Studio One demo. You click on a knob, you wiggle a hardware knob and VOILA! about 1.5 seconds and it's done. You can event save the controler assignments. Why doesn't cakewalk just do like Studio One and forget about ACT wich is a dead end and makes Sonar users look elswhere for solutions?....

Turn down the volume! You're disturbing the neighbourgs!

Ive got it working 'somewhat' on occasion with my Axiom 61.  After I close my project and reopen, nothing is ever remembered.  I gave up a while back

forgive me if this is foolish but after you set up the layout of the controller you are saving it.  I have acr working on my lpd8, my evolution and my roland.  I'll admit it works the best on the roland but the others work also.  Just make sure you save the layout.

the axiom 25 is slightly different from the 49 / 61 , the preset mapping number is not the same.

use preset #1 on the keyboard.. it might not be set to that as default

should be of help, but don't pick the axiom 49/61 setting.. AND set your keyboard to preset 1, it'll be in the manual how to do it.

you can teach it how to do the transport (play etc) in the MME / MMC thing (forget what it's called) and do midi learn.. thats seperate from ACT
