Cleaning Up Project (basic questions)

I have a long project.. suppose I wanted to cut it into parts, work on the parts, and then re-assemble in order with each part completed.

1) so, lets say the end part sits at beat 100-150.  Is there a way that I can delete beats 1-99 and pin the beginning of the end part to beat number 1...  this stuff is very common in the in video editing world.. you would highlight the part you are deleting, peform a ripple edit---it would delete the highlighted part and move the part you are keeping to the front of the timeline.

thanks

cut and paste always worked for me but I'm sure someone will chime in with a better way!

Yes, SONAR has a Delete Hole function. It's not exactly ripple editing, but similar. Check out tip #8 over at:
