    I used to have a small company many years ago called the Liquid Sky Group that made fractal posters and color-cycled videos for nightclubs...   After finding just the spot in a fractal that we wanted, we would start a batch file to get 35mm resolution (required for making posters) and let the computer chug away for days...  Now I could probably get 1,000 times the resolution in a few seconds of processing time.  Gotta love progress!
