She Devils on Wheels

As part of my week long Gritty Biker Movies from the 1960's and `1970's Film Festival I'm watching "She Devils on Wheels" this morning.

The first thing I noticed is that it was filmed in Hialeah Florida in 1968. In 1968, Hialeah was the "town" right next to my home town.

Have you ever noticed how a tree or the sky or even the unique character of a side walk can ID a location in a way you never thought about until you experience the reminders?

Anyways, now I'll be busy watching all morning... looking to see if my mom shows up as an extra. :-)

The bapu is missing all the action.

Some of the off beat biker flicks made in So Cal are as well made and interesting as the late 50's French Cinéma vérité films. The extra biker films made in Texas, Miami etc. are so far removed from film craft... they are really just moving picture snap shots in time.

Three scenes of The Big Lebowski were shot on a street where I once lived as a child.

You can show me your old mail box when we watch it.

If... you can keep your hands out of the popcorn bowl long enough to point it out.

And I imagine I would need to swallow the popcorn to explain the scene location to you too?

Would you settle for some fondue memories?

When that happens, dip it in the chocolate quickly.  It not only cools off your tongue, but it ensures that the rest of the people at your table leave the chocolate alone.

I took my first "real" (like in "love") girl friend to see Easy Rider.
Parts were filmed around where I was living...sure hated that I missed seeing
them do some shooting....anyway, I can relater to what your saying...when I see
    nice mountains....I think.....about............nevermind.
