Screen sets

Hi - the CW site now has good samples of around 10 different screenset configurations...nice. I set several up in a project. My question is, can screensets be saved acorss projects as a "global". I think not at this point. It appears as if one has to start all over again configuring the screensets... Maybe I will discover this is a prefered way since projects can be so different from one another, but it would be nice since there are 10, which covers about any scenario.

    screensets are not global.

I get around that by setting up my 10 screensets and saving as a project template.  Save the template as Normal. and everytime you open cakewalk your 10 screensets are there and ready to go.  I have a bunch of other stuff going on in my normal template also.  Love the normal template feature.  Everytime I start a new project everything is setup the way i like to work.....

You can also import Screensets from one project to another by having the two projects open at the same time, and then going to the Screensets module in the Control Bar and choosing Import Screensets.

There should be a way to save screensets as a screenset-template in a special file (Save screensets to file, Load screensets from file).
I often have to open projects from customers and I don't want to load a template-project to import my own screensets. Importing is uncomfortable. And loading a second template-project takes time.
Its also uncomfortable if you want to make little changes to the screenset-template-project. Therefor, saving the screensets to a file would be a good solution.

They should make that set of screensets downloadable in a .cwp file.  How 'bout it Seth?  Or are they already there somewhere?

I wonder how everyone else uses screensets. Maybe I'm just set in my old school ways, but I pretty much use one screenset all the time.

I have the multidock set to have the console view and keep it minimized until I want to use it. That's about all I do =)

Rad! thanks for taking the time to explain how you guys use screen sets. I have a couple of ideas now for how I can use them better.
