Icon iControls MIDI Controler

Has anyone used the Icon iControls MIDI controller in X1 or any other version? It's so cheap, but a review I saw online says it's pretty difficult to get it working on SONAR. As I have ZERO experience in MIDI controllers, I wonder how difficult it will be to set up and do all the assigning and all that.. Any thoughts??

    icontrols include a software for set up with mackie control.ithis software have a user define control template,a mackie control for cubase and logic,and another for live and samplitude.
    sonar supports mackie control.trying to work with sonar,but nothing...
    i think icontrols works via sonar act midi controller,but is a difficult process for me.
    if anyone knows please to make a description step by step
