X1c suggestion
It'd be nice when working with softsynths, say when you have "create track folder" selected when inserting a softsynth. If when you clicked (IN THE TRACK FOLDER) right clicked to add a midi track if it automatically routed the MIDI track to the vst instrument corresponding to that folder and the next free subsequent channel as well.

ohhhhhh, that would be rad. I'd love some more options for inserting tracks in general. Like being able to set defaults per project for the soft synth elements (assuming non-instrument tracks). Like all the audio components go into a "soft synth" folder while the MIDI goes into wherever your selection is and whatnot. I spend a lot of time re-arranging tracks and doing housekeeping...it's a buzz kill.

I'd like to see an global bypass automation option on the Sonitus EQ.

I'd like the new audio tracks that I insert to stop disappearing when I have folders in my projects. They are no where to be found but they are listed in my undo history. I know they are not being added (even though they are in the undo history) because my track count does not increase. It happens with cloning tracks too ... I'll clone it, it will show the track for a split second, then disappear, but still show up in my undo history. This only happens when I have a folder in my project. Also, why do we have to remove a track from a folder before we can move it to another folder? And while I'm on it, why can't I assign an existing send to the master bus? Why do I have to create a new send using the wizard or new stereo bus option? I'd also like to see a global reset for all the components of the Pro Channel. As it is now, if you want to set your EQ, Comp, and Sat settings back to flat you have to double click every single frickin' button. Sonitus has a happy little 'Reset' button. These are a couple things I'd like to see changed in X1C.

I'd also like to see more control over drawing automation. I like the inclusion of the different wave forms under the draw button.. but it'd be nice to draw a wave form with even amplitude and not depend on the steadiness of your hand and have quick and easy ways to adjust the all the minimum nodes or all the maximum nodes of say a triangle wave... control over the wavelength independant of the snap settings would be nice too!

Bub Also, why do we have to remove a track from a folder before we can move it to another folder? This has been sorta fixed. You can now move to another folder from within one.

I've always been able to drag from one folder to another, but I can't right click a track and say 'move to'. I have to select 'Remove From Folder' first. It's still this way in X1, I'm on my DAW now and just checked.

And while I'm on it, why can't I assign an existing send to the master bus? Why do I have to create a new send using the wizard or new stereo bus option? I'm strictly going from memory here, but I think the only destination that can't be used for a send is one already in use by that track. So if you change the track output to something other than the master bus, does the master bus become available in the send list? This is assuming that you're referring to what is typically the first bus in the bus pane, and not that hardware out's master bus. Then again, my memory's not the best, so...

This is assuming that you're referring to what is typically the first bus in the bus pane, and not that hardware out's master bus. Then again, my memory's not the best, so... What I do is, I create a bus then put the FX in the FX Bin, then go back to my tracks and other buses and assign the bus I created as the 'Send'. The FX bus/send's I create show in the list of sends on every track and bus except the Master (or whatever you name the 1st bus). 1. You can not assign an existing Send that you have already created on the Master (1st) bus. It does not show up in the list of 'Sends' when you right click on the Master bus and select 'Insert Send'. 2. You can add a send to the Master, but only if you create a new one through the Master by right clicking on the Master bus then click 'Insert Send', then either 'New Stereo Bus' or 'Insert Send Assistant' because none of the Sends you already created show up in the list of available Sends. I thought maybe it had to do with the 'Output' being set to my hardware so I created another bus and left it's 'Output' set to my hardware and all the 'Sends' show up. I also tried setting it to 'Set As Default Bus' and moved it to the 1st bus position and all the preexisting 'Sends' worked. It looks like it only effects the 1st bus when you create a project. It's this way in 8.5 also.
