NI Battery 3.2 update out

Just giving the heads up that Nis Battery is now updated to rel 3.2 :

Dear BATTERY user,

We're pleased to announce that the BATTERY 3.2 update is now available for free download. The update contains several new features and workflow improvements, plus some fixes. Please make sure to read the Important Note below.

You can download the update via the NI Service Center or the Online Update Manager.

Main new and improved features:
  • New "Drum" mode in Saturator effect, which was designed for use with drum sounds. This new mode is especially useful on acoustic drums, but provides a generally louder and thicker sound on all kind of drums and samples
  • New "Default Kit" option enables you to load your preferred MIDI assignment, Cell names, Cell matrix size etc. automatically on start-up
  • New zero-latency convolution engine with optimized performance for low-latency settings, featuring a new latency-free setting for 100% sample accurate timing
  • Numerical parameter value input: The parameter values for almost all elements on the BATTERY 3 user interface can now be entered from your computer keyboard
  • New Import formats: Akai MPC 5000, Alesis Fusion, Drumagog, Korg Triton, Roland Fantom, Yamaha Motif
  • Mac OS X: 64-bit VST support
  • Mac OS X: 64-bit support for REX import
Bug fixes:
  • Fixes compatibility problems with Mac OS X 10.7 "Lion"
  • Fixed crash when learning MIDI assignments in Automation Page
  • Improved File Browser response
  • Mac OS X 64-bit: fixed crash when resolving samples in a host

We strongly recommend downloading and installing this update to ensure the best possible user experience and reliability.

Important note:
  • Since BATTERY 3.2 is now based on a new file format, kits and cells saved with BATTERY 3.2 cannot be loaded with previous BATTERY versions. Please be sure to backup your files and important projects before saving with BATTERY 3.2
  • Mac users: This version requires an Intel Mac and Mac OS X 10.5 (or later)!

Best regards,

Your Native Instruments team

I am in no way affiliated with NI, in fact i think the way they treat many of their customers sucks but this is just to give you the headsup. You've probably already got the email but if, like me, it got filtered into Spam then you might not have seen it.

Hey, at least you got an email.

    I must be blacklisted someplace.

I never get any of these Cakewalk emails that I see pop up on the forum from time to time (I'm a registered user of 8.5.3), and I never get any emails from NI (I'm a registered user of Komplete 6 & 7)..and no, they aren't ending up in my spam folder.

I end up checking the service center every couple weeks and just getting my updates that way.

Updating to 3.1 introduced new problems for me.  In every project, I found that all mono outputs been automatically reassigned to different (stereo) output channels, e.g. bass drum was set to 17+18stereo instead of 17mono, snare drum set to 19+20stereo instead of 18mono, and so on.  I ended up having to work through all old projects and manually change all mono outputs back to their original settings.

I see no mention of this issue under bug fixes.
