BCF2000 On Win 7 and X1

Have many of you had a mess around with this unit on Win 7 and X1?? I'm considering buying this little fella and just want to ensure it is going to be ok, compatibility wise. I have not used a controller before so don't know how easily you can assign to stuff in SONAR. Obviously, in general you would be assigning to just tracks, but is it easy to assign to eq and other plugs without much fuss? Can it do this automatically at all so when you have an eq (sonitus for example) active, so it then reacts to just that, close sonitus window and it goes back to tracks? I don't have any idea how intuitive these things can be....

Greatly appreciate any comments!

Bit late with the reply but better late than never I suppose.

Get  one I promise you won't regret it. I started with one and then 'upgraded' to a Mackie but only because I got a too good to refuse deal.

Run the BCF in Mackie mode, easily done and then set it up as a Mackie Control Surface in X1. Get BCFView - the free virtual LED scribble strip on the Behringer website and away you go. You can control tracks, busses, EQ, compressors (although the PC compressor is currently out of reach) and much more.

It all works in 'modes' that you can switch in & out of.

To get a better idea of it's capabilities have a look at this 'user guide' I put together.

IMHO there is no better value piece of kit out there. 95% of the usability of a MCU at 10% of the price.
