help loading ver 1.5 to go to 2.0 on mac?

hi

i am new to the vs100 on mac. i read i need 1.5 first then update to 2.0

so i downloaded 1.5 and 2.0 for mac osx 10.6

when i go to run the 1.5 its some weird file and not a PKG, it said i needed some piece of software to run it, when i did that it asked me to point to a folder or something?? i have never had to do all that on mac before

can someone help me with how to load 1.5 ??

2.0 is a PKG and looks easy

thanks!

i am on a new macbook pro on 10.6.8

thanks

You will find all you need to know here: http://www.cakewalk.com/Support/kb/reader.aspx/20090527 but do follow the instructions carefully.

The steps these instructions are taking you through are:

    1. Put the VS-100 hardware into firmware update mode.
    2. Launch the "loader" program on you MAC (UpdSMF), this is actually a simple Standard MIDI File (SMF) player.
    3. Set up the "loader" and tell it where to find the SMF files that are to be transferred to the VS-100 .
    4. Tell the loader to transfer the files (Send).

That's it! I've done this a couple of times on a PC without any problems, but I admit it does look scary at first

    Hope this helps
