They go in the shared plug ins folder did you put them there?
Are they 32 bit or 64 bit?

You have to scan for new plug-ins before they can be used in the program. And, of course, the plug-ins have to be in a folder that the program scans for new plugins.

Hello Chappel, Just wondering, Doesn't Sonar automatically scan for new plug ins on start up? I notice that when ever I add a new plug in a quick little dialog will appear upon booting Sonar saying it's scanning plug ins. It only shows that one time. I've read where you can shut this feature off but I never have. So I assume it's the default to scan on start up correct??

I don't think it's the default since so many people have had trouble installing VST's. I could be wrong. That feature can be enabled/disabled in Options>Global>VST Plug-ins tab. New folders can also be added to the scan there. I keep scan on startup enabled since I have a habit of downloading and installing every free plug-in that I see mentioned on the forum if it looks like it might be useful someday.
