Help - No MIDI

I have been using Sonar for a while now and had everything working great at one point.

I am currently using Sonar 7 Producer on Windows XP 32 Bit with an Asus Xonar DS sound card. I have had things working with this exact configuration. I am also using an MPK49 Akai Controller which was also successfully being used.

Upon recent reinstall, I have been unable to get the MIDI tracks to make any sound. I have already done the following:

  1. I have verified in Device Manager that my sound card is functioning as it should be
  2. I am using a Soft Synth and it is mapped to the ouput.
  3. I do see the MIDI lights coming on in the system tray icon
  4. The metronomes in Sonar are working fine and receiving the signal
  5. Once again, the TTS 1 soft synth is selected as the output, while using MIDI Omni as the Input.
  6. Track is not muted
  7. Using the DWS driver (but also have the option of ASIO or MME which also have the same issue)
Given the circumstances, can anyone please help direct me to what else I may need to check to get things working. I have installed the latest audio driver as well.

Thanks much!

Just as a side note, Audio tracks are playing OK, just not MIDI.

You don't say a word about the audio track that should be playing the TTS-1 (with input from TTS-1 and output to, preferably, Master Bus).

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.

Sorry about that, I have tried setting the Bus to Master, as well as several other options, but nothing works.

To test TTS-1 open the GUI for it which looks like a 16 channel mixer and click on any instrument. If you don't hear anything then go from there.
