Free Online Magazine About Music, DAWs, VSTs, Etc.

I'm resubmitting an earlier post with a new title in case the first version made people think the magazine was for Wusikstation users only.  This is about an online magazine, the content of which should be of general interest to many of the folks frequenting this forum.

The magazine can be found at:
www.wusik.com

Put together by mostly voluteers, they have been trying to revitalize it of late, taking on a number of new writers (yours truly included). The new issue is about 160 pages, including many VST reviews, which may be of primary interest to folks who hang out here.

You are limited to reading via web browser (subscribers get to download a PDF), and that's a little bit of a pain unless you have a wide monitor screen.

Anyway, check it out and hopefully ... enjoy.

Dave, too hard to read and navigate for these old eyes... On the surface, it all looks cool and pretty though.
    good luck with it.

I checked it out after seeing a link on KVR. There is lots of good stuff in there. I'd say it's comparable or even superior to many paper magazines such as Electronic Musician that I routinely pick up at the bookstore for, I think, $7.

But I agree the format is difficult to read. Many online magazines suffer from this. I subscribe to Discover Magazine online and it's also clumsy to navigate and read. I'd rather it be presented in standard HTML. There is no need to try and make it look like a virtual magazine and it just frustrates readers.

BTW, the link in the original post is to the Wusik main page. Here's the direct link to the magazine: http://www.wusik.com/ww/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=99&Itemid=171

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

I'll pass on your comments and those of bitflipper to the magazine's management.  I'm pretty much in agreement about the difficulties in reading the online version.  I limit my reading to the PDF version, which is not freely available.

Thanks for sharing, David.  Yeah, this is a pretty cool e-mag.  Although it seems software centric, it definitely gives SOS a run for the money when comparing to their e-edition.  It even seems to be a bigger bang for the buck over ComputerMusician, with much more and longer articles!

Yeah, I will definitely drop a dime on this one.  Like I have too?!

    Kind regards,
