Flying nodes
I had this problem in 8.3 and hoped it would have been fixed in X1. When I click on a volume node to move it, the node will fly to the top of the clip. Besides being unbelievably inconvenient, if my monitor volume is set high already the increased volume is deafening and I am concerned that it could damage my speakers. Does anyone know if there is there a fix in the future for this or if there is a way to disable the 'flying node' feature.

This has been happening for a long time - certainly since 6.2.1PE. File a bug report.

Scott - I get this happening mostly when I right-click a node to delete it. Definitely not a double click here, unless my mouse has got a mind of it's own. Maybe the cat attacked it

Maybe the cat attacked it Hey Colin, Ha! Yeah, the cat is jealous and wants to start making its own music. Seriously though... not sure what's happening there with the right-click. Scott -- Scott R. garrigus junedrive I'm positive I did Scott! I think I'm going to put in some serious time with the manual or better yet get your book! thanks again. Hi Mike, Yep, every person in the world using SONAR, should get a copy of my book... which is conveniently available here from the Cakewalk store... http://www.store.cakewalk...ductid=30-CTSP1.00-20C Thanks! Scott Well - talking about shameless promoting... Just joking Scott. I have ordered your book. I have learned a lot from your older books (Sonar 8 an 6), so how could I avoid buying your latest creation? For your information - it is also available here in the Netherlands in one of our biggest on-line book stores (bol.com). I sould have it within a few day's...

Scott, the problem is that if I double click to add a node and happen to be dangerously close to another node, zing, the adjacent note takes off. It could all be avoided if I zoomed out further but it's time consuming and it's easier to complain! I mean, it's X1 isn't that what we're supposed to do!?....Actually for the most part I have been content with X1. I was in the middle of a large project and switched midstream from 8.3. I have had a few crashes but I'm hesitant to attribute them to X1 because I'm running more tracks than I have in the past.

Yep, shameless but true... everyone should read the book. Thanks very much for ordering it! I hope you enjoy this one as much as the past editions. Yeah, the publisher is a big company and they have a lot of distribution connections, so I'm not surprised that the book is available over there in the Netherlands. It's still cool to hear about it though. Thanks! Scott -- Scott R. Hi Mike, Yeah, it's not usually a good idea to upgrade in the middle of current projects. You never know what can happen. But it's nice that Cakewalk lets you keep older versions installed. I always keep at least one past version installed, just in case. With the nodes, yeah, you just need to zoom in... it's not too difficult, especially when using the mouse wheel. Check out the feature called Fast Zoom. Scott -- Scott R.
