Missing track strips in console view; can't show track manager?

Missing track strips in console view; can't show track manager?

I'm running sonar 8.5.3.282.  In the console view on one project, only some of my track strips are showing.  Pressing "M" is supposed to show the track manager; nothing happens (it has not been preempted by another keyboard shortcut, I checked).  Right clicking in a blank space shows a menu with an option "show/hide track strips" but nothing happens when I click it.
Any ideas from the pundits?

    I'm sure this is a done thing but, in console view did you scroll to the right? Because sometimes all your tracks won't fit onto the screen. There should also be a button in tracks view on your toolbars to open your tracks manager. If it doesn't show up there, right click the toolbar and customize it so it shows.
