HOW DO I DO THIS!?

8 months later, i still can figure it out. This is the only thing i have not figured  out. How do i do 2,3,4,5.... soft synths at once? If  i use my midi controller on session drummer, it triggers beatscape as well, if i  have 2 session drummers up, it plays both sets. how do i change it?

    How to Play on them and OPEN them!
     
     
    OPEN more VSTI's in Synthrack inside the "Browser" or you can just "Drag and drop" the VSTI from the Browser to the tracklist.
     
    Play on many VSTI in the same time. Activate the "*))))" symbol ("Input Echo") on all the TRACK's in the tracklist you want to play on in the sametime.

    Are you trying to get two sounds from different synths with one record? If so, set up both synths, arm both synth and start recording.

    no, say i use  a synth, i record that synth and i get my part down.  then i go back and add in session drummer. I  dont want my midi  to trigger the synth anymore, but when i hit the snare jey on my  midi, it does both the snare and the synth.  And then when  i add in another synth, record another sound, the first one changes to the new recording.

    How many Midi tracks are you using for the soft synths? If you put the Input channel on each one to a different channel then they will only receive Midi data on that channel. Let's say you have two midi tracks each output to two separate instances of Session Drummer. If the Midi Input channel is set to OMNI then each will receive Midi data on any Midi channel. It sounds like that is what is happening now. Change the Input channel of one to channel 1. Change the Input channel of the other to channel 2. Then change the Midi output channel of your controller to the one you want to use. Or change the Input channel of the ones you don't want to use to None. Just don't use Omni.

    Its all about your HARDWARE MASTER-KEYBOARD/SYNTH too.  Your HARDWARE MASTER-KEYBOARD are set to play in OMNI-Mode in your HARDWARE MASTER-KEYBOARD MIDI Settings. Check the hardware MASTER-KEYBOARD/SYNTH -MIDI Settings. Disable OMNI that are selected now and select a MIDI channel 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16..or you can also select the option "MULTI".
     
    That will change it so it follow the selected MIDI corresponding in SONAR X1 instead even though the MIDI-input are OMNI in SONAR X1.

    +1.  This is the easiest way to do it.  Set your keyboard/controller to MIDI Channel 1.  Keep the inputs on your MIDI tracks in Sonar on Omni.  But then each MIDI track needs to have a different MIDI Channel set for its output.  You never need to change the channel of your keyboard, you just can't have it on Omni, which means it's transmitting on all 16 channels all the time.
