How do you track your progress in Sonar X1?

I'm curious how people track their progress in projects?

I save regularly, and Save as "the project name" followed by 1a, 1b, 1c etc.. following major revisions that way I can load a previous version I had saved in case I change my mind about something, or something I've done starts exhibiting buggy behavior.. I'm curious what other people do? So lets hear it!

I mostly do the same as you Aaron, except I go for a 1.1, 1.2 system

I'll always append the text "ALL SYNTHS FROZEN" to whatever version I freeze all the synths, sometimes I'l add other descriptive text such as "VERSE 2 SHORTENED", "WHOLE MIX -2.1db", that sort of thing.

like this... if I'm working on tracking  10,11,12,13,14 each time I add a track..

when I start tracking on a diff day I go 20,21,22,23

that way you'll have an instant feel for what you did on a certain day.

    1, 2, 3 or a, b, c.
Or sometimes when the mix suddenly takes a new direction, I'll rename with key words (big kick mix, alt version, whatever...)

That and the ordinary Windows/Mac timestamps - helps quickly find the version you were working on at a particular moment.
