SONAR Power Studio 6 dual FX window hijack

OK, so here's what just happened. I completed 16 tracks of vocals, and had done a lot of good edits. I had saved often, as I typically do. I was back on the doubled lead vocal tracks, putting in matched splits in the two clips (Tracks 4 and 5), so that I could apply the Pitch Shift effect to just the one small center clipped part, for both track clips. I had both clips in both tracks selected (highlighted), then right-clicked and added the Pitch Shift effect. Suddenly, two windows for the effect opened up, on top of each other, and started battling it out. Both effect windows took over all the CPU, were flickering back and forth violently, and would not let anything else happen. I couldn't close them, I could click away from them, I couldn't do ANYTHING. Locked. Trapped. The only course of action I had was to kill the SONAR application process in the Task Manager. Thankfully, when I did that, SONAR happily asked me if I wanted to save my work. I did. But it would seem now that it would have been better to just lose all of the edits accomplished since the last save (only a few minutes of reproducible work), instead of electing to save it as the process died. Because now, upon re-opening the project, SONAR wants to get me back to the same state I was in at that last save. So up come the fighting effects windows! And again, LOCKED. There is no no way to open this project and use it now. The effects windows have taken it hostage. Am I totally hosed? Is this project trashed? Am I going to have to start a brand new project, import all of those audio clips from the bad project, and spend hours trying to realign everything? Oh, God...please tell me there is a way to salvage this project!

This is why you should use Autosave....

Did you try opening in safe mode? Hold down shift while clicking File-Open.
