Lexicon Omega Loses connection when Sonar le is started.

Just got a new Sony Vaio last week and loaded Sonar 8.5 le on it.  Whenever I double-click the program to start it, my lexicon omega  starts flashing (loses connection) and I have to unplug it from usb and plug it back in again to regain a connection.  No anti-virus or firewall is running in the background.  This program worked fine on my Toshiba Satellite.  When I start Cubase on the same machine, it starts just like it's supposed to...no flashing.
Is there a special setting I need to adjust?  I've been using Sonar le for about a year now and was seriously considering an upgrade to one of its bigger brothers.  Thanx in advance.

    Welcome to the forum.
Have you got the latest updates for the Omega installed on the new computer, including driver updates?

Yes, I have version 2.7 installed.  The glitch only happens when I try to start Sonar 8.5 le or Sonar X1.  It never happens when I start Cubase le 4.   I'm wondering if there is some type of startup message being sent to disable my soundcard from Sonar.

If you're using ASIO driver mode, SONAR should only 'see' the Omega and not the onboard sound card. What driver mode are you using?
Have you disabled the onboard sound card (shouldn't be necessary if the ASIO drivers for the Omega are working, but you can try it anyway)?
I had a similar problem a few years ago where the onboard RealTek always took over the audio from my Sound Blaster Extigy. The SB didn't have ASIO drivers so the RealTek assumed control whenever I started. The SB didn't disconnect, but I had to reselect it under Options>Audio, every time.
Had to take the drastic action of completely removing the RealTek HD Audio software from the computer.

All my other audio drivers have been disabled.  Oh, I forgot to mention that Sonar 8.5 le also hangs up when the soundcard loses connection.  The startup window for Sonar never shows up, but it is listed as a running service in the Task Manager... Strange.
