Moving Clips by typing in the Time Code?

Hello, this is my first post here, though I've been an active reader for years.  Hopefully I can get a little advice on a little issue I'm having...

I'm going to be doing some sound for picture post production work in Sonar X1 PE, namely recording Foley.  When I did this at another studio on Pro Tools, I was able to create "countdown beeps" which I could then select and type in the time code for the next cue.  Then I would set the beeps to start 4 seconds before the cue, and set my Pre-Roll time back 4 seconds as well, to give the artists time to perform their cues.

My question is two-fold:

Can I click on a clip and move it to the desired time code by typing in the start point  of the cue?
And as far as I can tell, there is no pre-roll command in Sonar, unless I'm missing something?  This is not really a big deal because if I can move a clip by typing directly where it should go, I can simply move it 4 seconds before the cue, making pre-roll necessary.

Thanks much,
LD

    1. Click on the clip to select it.
    2. Press I to open the Inspector (if it isn't already).
    3. Click the Clip tab at the top of the Inspector.
    4. For the Time Format parameter choose H:M:S:F.
    5. For the Start parameter, type in the start time for the clip.

actually the option Scott described works only for audio clips.

Once you resize a MIDI clip, by dragging its edges to either side, Sonar does not recalculate itself to the new clip size and entering exact time code will move the clip to wrong place. This is a confirmed bug. CWBRN-5416
