Getting Started on Sonar X1 Essential

Hello there, I am new to this software and this is the first time that I have ever joined a forum, so be gentle if I am treading old ground. I recently bought sonar x1 which looks realy cool and I want to get some guitar down and create some didgy demos. lol.

However, how do I get the dum map up you know the page where you draw in the actual drums with the little pen. I dont have a midi keyboard and not keen on the drum editor page.

I hope someone out there knows the screen that I mean, if you lok at page 28 of the sonar manual that came in the box it is pictured and labelled with a G and it says multidock, not sure what this means?

Anyone help?

you might be reffering to the piano roll..but to be honest..your better off using the step sequencer..i could not possibly fill up enough pages to tell you what you need to do to get moving in x1..its all trail and more trial and then a little error.keep reading the manual files and ask more questions..this really isnt a daw that you can just jump in and start recording if youve never used a daw..if you have then your a head in the game..i suggest opening the browser and dragging in session drummer loops to start to get the feel.
welcome to the forum and im sure we'll be seeing alot more of you now that your rolling with x1,because there are questions that need to be asked.
