Waves SuperTap delay -- No Auto BPM?

Greetings; A couple days ago i installed Waves' Super Tap delay plugin (both the 2 tap and 6 taps flavours). I am having trouble with the auto BPM setting for this VST.

I've gone into the plugin properties for each separate .dll for Supertap, and ticked 'configure as tempo based effect.' But Sonar is not saving this setting. Sometimes auto BPM is active when i reopen an instance of supertap, but often it isn't. Either way, when i fire up Sonar the next day, the tick for 'configure as tempo based effect' is never there.

BTW i've tried using jBridge with SuperTap, but it doesn't solve the missing BPM problem. It occurs to me that maybe i have to activate 'configure as tempo based effect' or use jBridge on the Waveshell, but i can't figure out how to access plugin properties. (Waveshell appears in my plugin menu layout, but not in the list of registered VST plugins). Anyone found a workaround for this?

Regards
Glenn
