How to move the Multisamples Folder of Studio Instruments to a different drive?

I am almost positive that I would never have installed the multisamples of Studio Instruments to my C drive by choice - but there they are!  I would like to get them over to my Samples drive and save 1.2G of space on my o/s drive.

Can anyone tell me how to do this?

Thanks in advance,
Gerry

    Unless there's something about that particular content I'm not aware of , just like Sonar content and Dim Pro content, you can copy all that content to the drive of your choice and then change the paths in Global - Folders.

    Unfortunately the same as with all SONAR included synths etc you can't pick another folder for Multisamples after the installation unless you're prepared to do an edit of the registry.

    It's fairly straightforward but a pain as many like yourself miss the opportunity during the installation where you are asked to select where the multisamples are to be stored.

    Here's the Si registry data from my installation - Edit to suit.

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cakewalk Music Software\Studio Instruments]
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cakewalk Music Software\Studio Instruments\Bass]
    "UseAltProd"=""
    "Contents Folder"="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Cakewalk\\Studio Instruments\\SI-Bass Guitar"
    "Multisamples Folder"="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Cakewalk\\Studio Instruments\\SI-Bass Guitar"
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cakewalk Music Software\Studio Instruments\Drums]
    "UseAltProd"=""
    "Contents Folder"="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Cakewalk\\Studio Instruments\\SI-Drum Kit"
    "Multisamples Folder"="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Cakewalk\\Studio Instruments\\SI-Drum Kit"
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cakewalk Music Software\Studio Instruments\EPiano]
    "UseAltProd"=""
    "Contents Folder"="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Cakewalk\\Studio Instruments\\SI-Electric Piano"
    "Multisamples Folder"="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Cakewalk\\Studio Instruments\\SI-Electric Piano"
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cakewalk Music Software\Studio Instruments\Strings]
    "UseAltProd"=""
    "Contents Folder"="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Cakewalk\\Studio Instruments\\SI-String Section"
    "Multisamples Folder"="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Cakewalk\\Studio Instruments\\SI-String Section"

    I want to do the same with Dim Pro 1.5. Is it the same process in the registry? And can I leave the old multi sample folder where it is at until I make sure that it is pointed to the sample drive before I delete it? I would love to get all my samples for all my X1 plugins off the C drive to my sample drive! I haven't really had any major issues with them being on the C drive. I just have grown used to having those samples on another drive.

    what WOULD be nice if they could write a small Util to fix such things for all the things with fixed locations for people who don't want to mess with the registry directly
    it's detect what synths you have already..

    then either find the new location OR ask you to specify the new drive (and folder)

    failing that give the synths 2+ locations that could be added to the "default" folder
