Weird bug with looping
Hi all. This is a strange one never seen before. I have a project approx 4 mins long, consisting mainly of vsti's but with a few guitar tracks thrown in. I set the loop points to where I wanted and to my amazement, the guitar tracks stop sounding about 10 seconds into the loop. The whole loop is set to about 30secs, the guitar tracks have a volume envelope. Take the loop off - the guitar tracks sound. Put the loop on, they switch off after about 10secs. Has anyone seen anything like this before? Seems like a bug to me (which obviously won't ever get fixed) Jonesey

Hey, Colin - are you saying that the loop with the softsynths continue to play in the time they're supposed to but the audio tracks "mute" during the loop?

Spot on Beagle. This is exactly what's happening All drums & synths play properly and loop where they should. The audio tracks start to play, then just stop sounding. This happens in exactly the same part of the loop every time I run it.

I haven't seen this behavior at all. what about if you temporarily delete the envelopes on those audio tracks and see if it still does that. that would at least tell you if it's tied to the envelopes or not. then maybe copy the audio tracks to new tracks and see if it still exhibits the behavior?

I'm going to try that as soon as I get home.

Spot on about the envelopes Beagle. Disable them, project loops with audio tracks playing as normal. Re-enable them and the audio drops out. This is about 21 measures into the loop

Another thing - if I move the starting time of the Loop start point to a point anywhere "inside" the first automation node i.e. a measure or 2 to the right, it loops correctly. Move the point outside and the audio stops.

that is pretty weird - it was just a troubleshooting guess on my part - it certainly shouldn't act that way!
