Reverb help

Please help me! I cannot for the life of me figure out how to add reverb to the whole track, only add effects to individual waves. Can sombody give me step by step instructions to add effects to the whole track? Thank you so much!

I'm not sure I'm getting the distinction between whole track and individual waves since individual waves are on tracks. Do you mean you want to add reverb to everything?

You can right click and add effects to a wave, but i was doing it to too many individual waves and sonar wouldnt allow me to add any more. I think someone told me there is a way to add effects to the whole track using the input or output or something. Does that clear it up?

Well, there are a couple of easy ways to add effects to a track. One is to put the effect, reverb in this case, in the track FX bin. Right click the track FX bin to add audio effects. With this method you would use the effect's dry/wet controls to set the amount of effect you want.

Another way is to create a bus with the audio effect in the bus FX bin. Then you create a Send in the audio track going to that bus. With this method you put the effect at 100% wet in the bus FX bin and use the send control in the track to determine how much audio to send to the effect bus. I prefer this method because I can use one effect for several different tracks.
