Solo Question 2
Has such great success with my other question, I would be a fool to not ask When I use a midi track and a softsynth such as Superior drummer, solo works fine, but once I use a drum map, then the association of the Midi track to the softsynth gets disconnected in the and yes the midi track solo's, but Superior does not unless I also solo it. Anyway to keep that association while using a drum map?

Try this: In drum map manager check to see that yout out port is set to your soft synth. Also check the out note to see if it is triggering the softsynth note range

Unfortunately, Sixfinger is right. The Solo & mute functions seem to become disassociated between midi & audio tracks when using a drum map. This wasn't the case in 6PE (I have a long memory) but was broken in 8.

Additional: The only way to get a partial workaround - and it is partial - is to have all your drum tracks AND the Midi track in a track folder. Then you can use the Folder's own solo & mute buttons. But of course, you'll then get the entire kit sounding, so what I usually do then is to assign all my toms to a mute group, all my cymbals to another mute group, leaving kicks, hats & snares on their own making it slightly easier to home in on the kit piece(s) you want to audition/edit/tweak

I must have misunderstood.... Yeah I have the same problem here, just never thought of it as a problem so I just kept going.

Actually, for midi editing purposes, another workaround is this - if you DO have a drum map on your Midi track (and if you don't there isn't even a problem ) , solo all drum tracks, including the midi track, then just use the M & S button in the drum maps PRV
