Mike, I really liked this. Voice is good, and guitars have great tone. At 2:43 you use a megaphone effect and I think it would work better if you extended it to include all the words until the chorus kicks in. It won't hurt to try it. It just seemed to me it would flow better.

Cool tune man, I always love Jake's Mixes, he's a great mixer and all around studio wiz. Vocals could use a little de-ssing, some slightly piercing consonants throughout. I'm guessing it occurred in mastering since it's pretty uncharacteristic of Jake's mixes. Kudos

Cheers guys. Yeah they might need a tad more de-essing. We'll probably do that once the song is re-mastered for the EP.

I really like this song...great tune and great hook. Nice arrangement. Is this your first vocal song you've posted? I thought you only did instrumentals? Whatever...you should sing more. :) Great job!

Great song, production is solid! The vocals are very clean and smooth, they are sung in that "low" voice that reminds me of country, sort of like Safetysuit. I think the vocals could use more energy at times, particularly higher notes and the ending portion. Personally, I would love to hear the vocals with more of a Secondhand Serenade vocal brightness to it, but you should do what you like the most. You have lyrics written out anywhere? I would like to see them! -Jeff

Hours - Music and Words by Mike White COPYRIGHT 2011. "Your voice is trapped inside my head, It's echoing right through my mind and it won't go away. It's been so hard for me to move on, It's been so hard for me to try and move away. I think I've gone too far, Your voice is tearing me apart, Tearing me apart. And I could wait hours, I could wait days, And I don't wanna, I don't wanna hear your voice again. And I could wait moments, I could wait an age, But I don't wanna, I don't wanna hear your voice again. Your face is etched into my mind, A scar inside my memories that tears me up inside, It's been so hard for me to move on, It's been so hard for me to try and pull away. I think I've gone too far, Your face is killing me inside, killing me inside. And I could wait hours, I could wait days, And I don't wanna, I don't wanna see your face again. And I could wait moments, I could wait an age, But I don't wanna, I don't wanna see your face again. And I could wait hours, And I could wait days, But I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna hold your hands again. I could wait hours, I could wait days, And I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna hear your voice again, And I could wait moments, I could wait an age, And I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna, hear your voice again. And I could wait hours, And I've just gotta see your face again. Well I could wait moments, I could wait an age, And I've just gotta, I've just gotta see your face again."
