THANK YOU FOR THE HELP!!!!!

While I do think the Internet has played a major role in the unraveling of society (only half-joking), the amount of help it can provide far outweighs the negative. With that thought, I want to thank everyone who helped me this past week when I posted about Mixer set Up and other issues in HS6. Your patience and time helped me move the ball forward, as they say.

I started over, reinstalled drivers for the Lexicon Alpha and the HS6 itself. I called Cakewalk support and they were fantastic. I read the forums.

Last night I recorded for the first time in probably a year. Not only that, I laid down the first MIDI tracks I have ever done. The two-minute ditty is a production wreck, but a success nonetheless. The only issue that remains is a very unfortunate, high pitch sound from Input #2 on the Alpha. I have no idea what it is, will keep checking.

But thanks again. I hope to be able to provide assistance to another frustrated HS user one day.

Mike

Dang, wish I could say I was one of the people who helped you, but I agree that
    1) There is a learning / troubleshooting curve to climb (but it's worth it), and
    2) There are really great helpful people on this forum (as well as witty, silly, sardonic, dopey, sleepy and grumpy).

    Have fun!

I don't remember if I helped you or not, but if so, you're welcome.

this forum is the main reason I chose cakewalk software for my recording needs originally.
