Piano Roll Shift+Drag To Copy Notes?
Hey guys,
I'm using Sonar 8.5 Studio and am having a difficult time copying some notes in the Piano Roll. Isn't Shift+Drag supposed to copy the notes? It usually works for me the first time I try to do it, but doesn't really work after that.
What I'm trying to do is select a group of notes (a drum pattern) and copy it a few times via Shift+Drag so it covers a couple of bars. This worked perfectly the first time I did it, but then it would no longer copy the selection, it would only move the notes. I could only copy one note at a time, and only the original notes would copy (I couldn't copy any notes that were created by copying).
If I try to copy and paste, it copies the entire clip, which is not what I'm looking to do. I also don't want to convert it to a grove clip as I want to add/change the drum piece over time.
I hope that made sense. Anyone have an idea what might be going wrong? Or perhaps there is a better way?
