Actually, this just sounds like an early Beatles song with a contemporary (sort of) video pasted over the top.

What's wrong with having a little fun with a Chuck Berry tune?

If a record company is gonna give you a budget for one more song... it seems like a fine idea to crank one out and invite bunch of people over and pay them a bit to dance at your party.

I'll bet they all got a nice lunch too.

At least he's not trying to help make some corporate sponsored vice product seem like a cool habit.

    best regards,

I don't have a smart phone, I had a pretty dumb phone but that is broken, I still have a land-line though... is that going to cause an issue?

Sir Paul has a wing named after him at my local hospital due to his generous support there and sometimes he's been near enough to speak to without a phone if that helps.

If you don't have a smart phone... then maybe you can find a vending machine that takes coins. :-)

Aha, I used one of those last week to renew my passport photos.

It takes 5 £1 coins and gives you 4 photos of an empty booth.  I wanted passport photos of me but I guess the empty booth ones will come in handy for something.

I'm just making sure my papers are all in order presently in case Sir Paul sponsors a US road trip for me.

That's the only explaination I can think of why he would put out that single...

John, Macca, George and probably even Ringo all grew up (as did Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, etc....) listening to Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Carl Perkins, Elvis and many others.  This is just a fun, light hearted tribute to those giants of Rock n Roll, ol pal.  Don't let it worry ya none.

That's hilarious... We used to play that song. And my keyboard player is a smoking accordion player too. So I can dust it off again and present it as a "NEW" song ha ha. By the way, I would call this version Cajun style if anything, Maybe Buckwheat Zydeco has covered it too.
Wonder why he started on the guitar and then shows playing his bass, Is that so we will recognize him?? Does Paul use Sonar or Reaper???

    maybe he really is dead.

John Lennon - - Johnny and the moon dogs - then the quarry men - then the silver beetles to Beatles -

Johnny and the moondogs  Lennon played banjo -- and the quarry men - both thopse groups were skiffle (country to Americans) first -- before rock n roll -

rock songs like 20 flight rock -  - the cover that mcCcartney knew that lennon was impressed with - got him into the quarry men

doesnt seem so far fetched to me at all that this is a country twist to a chuck berry rock song - Brown eyed handsome man

or.. maybe chuck intended it to be country

um, i just thought. um. well. come on Pauly gaga.
You'd think with a budget the size of McCartney's he could come up with something a little better than that ... but like the guy pretending to be Bill Gates said on The Simpson's, "Oh, I didn't get rich writing a lot checks!"
