Your interfaces are different so one might not even have 3/4 as option. But you need to set your outputs in the interface control panel first. Sonar CWP files don't contain data for interface perimeters. Each computer needs to be set up first with the latest drivers etc. Use ASIO mode if you can. Make sure your sample rate and bit depth match too.

O.K. Well the 828MK2 and 828MK3 use the same drivers and i have both machines set for outputs 12/34 ect... Bot machine are set identicle incase i have an interface or computer that goes down . you comment really clears this up for me because i did'nt know CWP files did'nt transfer interface settings . I thought it did because once i turned on Sonar and forgot to turn on 828 and output on CWP were blank . Once i turned the unit on all my outputs were correct.

zsn123, please crawl back into your hole and die,

[EDIT: Sorry, "you worthless scumbag" redacted to avoid violating the TOS.]

Katrice, my guess is that what gets stored in the project file is an offset into a table of devices rather than an identifiable device description, so "analog outs 1-2" might correspond to "analog outs 3-4" on another system. You might try disabling and then re-enabling your output devices on the chance you might get lucky and have them match up between the two systems.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

I record projects on my Laptop using a Tascam us1641 interface that has 14 analog inputs, Then I transfer those to my desktop which uses a M Audio with only 2 inputs. The transferred tracks for some odd reason will often show as SPDIF as input. It is a given that I will have to re assign inputs if I change computers.

Nice to meet you too zsn123 Hows prison life? I hear you get unlimited bandwidth there.

Thanks everyone ! I decided to save an extra folder on each system to fit whatever set up i might have to use . Took some extra time but now if something crashes before the gig i can go to another system and choose CWP from appropriate folder .
