Working on Win 7 Midi and audio not working together

I have win 7 64 when I go to play back a project with the drivers set to WDM\KS I get no midi option, with ASIO won't play audio.  Computer has Beats Audio...Not real familiar with that.  should I get a different card?? my old XP had Realtek and played everything.  Frustrating.

invest in a better soundcard that way it will be much less problems in the future... When using ASIO, do you see any devices listed under the drivers section? Also what version of sonar are you using?

The integrated soundcards usually don't understand ASIO, but they might work OK with ASIO4ALL, which is a WDM wrapper (free DL).

What do you mean by "I get no MIDI option"?
Do you have MIDI hardware connected but not detected or what? Or you can't see the soft synths??

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.
