NanoKontrol 2

Can you set any button to do keystroke commands? I can't seem to make an "undo" or a save button. I appreciate the help if it can be done.

Yes you can!  Basically, you want to use 2 simultaneous configurations: the "ACT MIDI Controller" option for control buttons, and the "Cakewalk Generic Surface" for volume, pan, mute, etc.  In the ACT MIDI Controller configuration, on the options tab, look for the "buttons" set of drop down lists.  These can be configured to just about any conceivable function and/or command sequence.  In fact, since the NanoKontrol2 has more than 8 control buttons, and the ACT MIDI Controller is limited to 8, I would advise using the Cakewalk Generic Surface for basic controls like play and stop, and the ACT MIDI Controller for the more advanced functions.

That's how I set it up so far using the CGS. Thanks for the info about using both options. I'll give it a try and see how it goes. Thank you!

The ACT controller is a PITA to figure out but I got the buttons I wanted working and have no idea how I did it since I could not get the last two to do what I wanted. Since it was not a huge biggie, I was was happy with the save and undo.

    Thanks for your help.
