Strange One - Master Pan not in Centre ?

Hi there.

Here is a strange one. X1b 255.

With a mono track on a channel, Pan exacltly centre on the channel (0) channel meter shows even meter shows exactly even both left and Right.... as you would expect. However....... When then routed to Master channel with Pan ther also dead centre, the master meter shows a more volume to the left. I need to pan right by arond 15% the get even split. I have removed any plugin's or effects, pro channel etc. Its a straight balanced mono signal on a channel, now being unbalanced on the master. Signal routing is all internal. Interleave/mono setting makes no difference. How can this be ? Any ideas ? When I do it in 8.5 everything works correctly using same set up.

Any ideas appreciated. This may have been happening for as long as I have been using X1 but I have not noticed.

Cheers, Chris in the UK. (I've asked Kate and William but they have no idea... I guess they are still on 8.5)

I suspect you are in offset mode. Pressing the "o" key without realizing you did will put the project in offset mode and can royaly screw you up if you are not aware of this. (pressing "o" again sets it straight)

Lookup offset mode in the help section if you are not sure what this is.

Don't fix it in the mix ... Fix it in the take!

In the console view, or maybe it's the track inspector, the master bus has a LEFT AND RIGHT FADER.  My control surface's master fader only controls one of them uless they are linked by enabling the "link" button.
This could explain it, it happened to me when i was getting used to x1
