Not an expert on XP mode, but in general aside from sharing data between the host OS (Win7 32 or 64 bit) and the virtual machine (always 32 bit XP) via the clipboard and using limited USB and printer drivers installed on both systems (using their respective drivers) from either system, the two systems are like two separate machines running in one box. I do not believe you will be able to run Sonar in 64 bit windows 7 and have it communicate with XP drivers installed on the virtual machine. You would have to install Sonar on the XP virtual machine in order to use the drivers installed there, and that would be much less efficient than running a native XP installation.
